Moussaka is a very simple, yet delicious dish. Everyone can prepare it without having any problem. In this recipe we will present you typical moussaka, but we decided to add other things to make it even tastier.
For this dish you need (this is the recipe for 4 persons)
1.5 kilograms of potatoes
600 grams of minced meat (you can use pork, beef or to mix them)
300 grams of ham
300 grams of cheese (gouda, edam)
Pinch of salt and pepper
One cup of cream or milk or yogurt ( we suggest you to add cream because it is stronger and your moussaka will even have a better taste, but if you decide to take yogurt or milk, it will be also a good choice )
Now, take potatoes and peel them and shred them to pieces. The best shape is a circle, but it’s up to you. Then leave it in water while you prepare other things.
After you did this chop onions and put them in a bowl and fry them. When they become brown, add minced meat to it and fry it for 15 minutes, until you see that it is cooked.
Now use a baking pan and put meat and potatoes and add in it ham and cheese. Before you add cream/yogurt/milk, you need to mix it with eggs and then pour over the dish.
Preheat the oven and bake it for about forty minutes. Since this is the stronger version of moussaka, except salad you don’t have to add anything else.
